Please make sure to measure your placement area and be prepared to spend some time with your animal for training purposes. Your pet is only as trainable as your patience level. If your pet seems a little intimidated by the pet steps or just can't figure out how to use them, we recommend the use of a treat or treats to be placed on each step leading to bed ,couch or windowsill. The one word command STEP during the is also helpful. The dog steps & cat steps should never be placed higher than the furniture he or she is trying to reach. Flush placement is only recommended for handicapped or elderly pets. It is a pets natural instinct to climb they travel in perpetual motion with at least 1 paw up and active at all times, Therefore the dog step should be placed at least 1 step height below the placement area. The step heights on the standard 3,4,5 & 6 step, pet steps are 4.5 inches. The Big Dawg 2 & 3 step height is 8" per step. Not recomended for puppies or kittens that chew or agressive pets. Please do not allow children to play on the pet stairs.

I highly recomend these stairs if you let your dog get in bed. I recently purchased our third set of stairs in 7 years. We owm (2) 70lb boxers so our stairs are get a good workout. The foam is very sturdy and the stairs do not tip over which made it easy to train the dogs to use them. I remember asking myself if I needed to spend the money on these when the dogs were younger . . . Oh boy am I glad I did. Aging dogs get expensive and an injury from jumping down is not an issue since they have always used the steps. Great purchase!!!

l bought this for my 16 yr old beagle several years ago with great success. i since adopted a rescued basset -aussie mix who had been severely abused and suffered separation anxiety. Before I realized what a serious chewer he was, he chewed the cover among other things. i was able to get a replacement and all is well since he no longer chews!

I purchased the first PetStairz, 3 Step, Big Dog in August, 2011 for my 65 pound Boxer who has bad knees. She was able to get up on my high platform bed easily with these steps. After 3 years of everyday use, the middle step became too soft and had a big indentation in it. These steps definitely did their job. In May, 2014, I purchased a 2nd PetStairz, 3Step, Big Dog, and I am very happy with them and highly recommend them.
